Banana Pudding Supreme

Alyson Stringer (originally from Paula Deen)
Yield: 10-12 servings

One of ex’s family members brought this to Christmas dinner one year and I fell in love — easily the best banana pudding I’ve ever tasted. The Chessmen cookies make the top of the pudding appear as if it were baked, making for a much prettier presentation than vanilla wafers. (Nov 2010. Updated Nov 2022)

2-3 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6-8 bananas, sliced2 cups milk
1 (5oz) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12oz) container Cool Whip, thawed (or equal amount sweetened whipped cream)

Line the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer banana slices on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using an electric mixer.

Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture. Add to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended.

Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
