Look familiar, Clotiauxs? They’re like Christmas-style Hello Dollys! No reason we can’t add chocolate chips too, right? (Dec 1996)
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 (14oz) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
16 oz candied fruit mix
1 1/3 cups coconut
Preheat oven to 350˚F (325˚F for glass dish). In a 9x13-inch pan, melt butter in oven.
Sprinkle crumbs over margarine. Top with remaining pecans, candied fruit and coconut. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and cut into bars.
NOTE: These freeze well, so they’re great to make in big batches and keep on hand for holiday gatherings and gifts.
