Salsa
Jaynna Sims (originally from ?????????)
Yield:
This homemade salsa is excellent. The end color isn't always a nice, pretty red-salsa color, but it doesn't matter. This about as close to authentic, Mexican salsa as you can get.
2 tomatoes
1 jalapeño
2 tomatillos
Garlic
Lime juice (lemon is acceptable)
Fresh cilantro
Onion
Salt & pepper
Sugar
~Put everything in the blender and mix it until the desired chunkiness.
~The amount used for each ingredient depends on personal taste (i.e. what flavor you prefer to be dominant in the salsa). Start with a little of each and add more to desired flavor. Don't use the whole jalapeño. I tend to only put about 1/4-inch thick slice of jalapeño.This is a mild spiciness.
~If you prefer your salsa chucky, put the tomato and onion in last for blending.
