Beef Tips

Faith Frazier Clotiaux (originally from Susan Wilson)

I made this for our family quite a bit when the boys were younger — Jaylon now calls me at least once a month to get the recipe. I usually prepared this in the morning, cover it and put in the refrigerator. Then about 3 p.m., right before making the rounds to pick up kids from school, I would put it in the oven, so it would be ready at 6 p.m. This was usually about the time my boys began to growl — beef always improved their attitudes! (Nov 2010)

2 lbs beef tips
1 (10oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
1 (16oz) bottle of Sprite
Accent® Salt, or salt and pepper

Spread beef tips in bottom of 9x13-inch pan, sprinkle with Accent Salt or just salt and pepper. Pour package of Lipton onion soup mix evenly over beef tips. Mix cream of mushroom soup with Sprite (don’t use the whole bottle) and pour over beef tips.

Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350˚F for 3 hours. Serve over rice.

NOTE: You can prepare this in a crockpot and let cook all day on low.
