Strawberry Punch

A beautiful party punch! For a really beautiful presentation, freeze the strawberry soda in a decorative mold with whole strawberries frozen in the ice — perfect for spring gatherings, showers, etc. (Nov 2010)

1 lb pkg whole sweetened frozen strawberries

1 (1qt) bottle dry white wine, chilled

1/4 cup brandy

2 (1qt) bottles champagne, chilled

Ice block, frozen in a 2-cup mold* (can use strawberry soda which won’t dilute the punch) 

Into a large punch bowl, place the strawberries, wine and brandy. Stir until the berries are separated, but still icy. 

Add block of ice and champagne. Stir lightly. Serve in punch cups.

*You can also freeze 2 cups of strawberry soda to avoid diluting punch.
